Sprint Training: What Is It & Why It's So Effective

Sprint training is one of the techniques that I use as part of the training program in order to both improve the education and also make it more effective. The idea is to have short bursts of training and then a rest period followed by another burst of training. This is the model that I live my life by in order to never get bored and also stay motivated and focused.

By nature, and thanks to the fathers of my generation, I have the attention span of a 16 year old boy at a girl’s birthday party. I’m going to tell you a big secret that day trading is boring to most people. It is monotonous, repetitive, and we have to identify patterns over and over again.

The only advantage to day trading is the fact that you can do it anywhere in the world, you can make money in a recession, you don’t have a boss, you don’t have any awkward situations from that special moment you had with the girl in the next cubicle, and did I forget to mention I’m reporting live and direct from Rio de Janeiro?  Check out WanderingTrader.com for my Brazilian travel blog.

When I travel, I find an apartment in a certain region and use that as my base. I travel in time lengths that last anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks and return to my base in order to relax. After I have had enough relaxing I pick up and go see the world again, my next trip will start in mid June and I will be visiting Southern and Northern Chile followed my second to last country in South America, Peru.

If you’re thinking about day trading or attempting to learn a skill, I would highly recommend that you do the same thing. Staring at a computer screen for 20 hours is not effective. It is known that when you have something on your mind and you stop thinking about it, your subconscious continues to process that specific information. This can explain the spontaneous idea we get from time to time, it is our brains working while we sleep and rest.

The recent blitz that I have been hosting for everyone in the training program fits that same model. By having a series of classes and really pushing the concepts that we all strive toward the markets it allows everyone to learn. After that, everyone can rest and inhale all that information. The rest. Applies by allowing everyone to focus on something different whether that’s day trading their own account or allowing them to review other material that we covered.

It works for you let me know, I would love to hear it!

  1. Great post Marcelo…

I just made it up to Medallin, and just from the taxi ride in from the airport, it looks like a WOW! city; I can see your attraction to it. Anyway, once I return home, I’ll be able to coordinate my situation better. I hope to start the “Learning to Day Trade” project very soon.

Warmest regards, and thank you for the valuable information on this site….I’ve read it all.
